Barry Russell is the founder and CEO of PRMEDICA Inc. He was originally a compounding pharmacist and development chemist and the founder of a major pharmaceutical company with extensive business and marketing experience in the European and the SE Asia regions. In 2012 he established PRMEDICA Inc. in Los Cabos, Mexico, focusing on Preventive and Bicellular Regenerative medicine to accurately diagnose and treat people naturally, without surgery. The clinic specializes in the application of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC’s) in conjunction with MSC- derived Exosomes and has created a new class of therapeutics that possesses remarkable regenerative capabilities, offering the latest and most advanced treatments in stem cell therapy.
Barry Russell is an active member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine, dedicated to enhancing the quality and extending the length of the human lifespan. He is also a member of the National Council in Mexico of Stem Cell transplants and the College of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine. As an active member, he is dedicated to the study, therapy, and research of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy and committed to improving the quality of life and functions of the human being.
He earned his professional degree as a Medical Surgeon at the Military Medical School of the Universidad del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea, and later, a specialty in Cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Prado is constantly certified to practice by the Mexican Council of General Surgery, and the National Council of Thoracic Surgery. He has also earned three master’s degrees in Hospital Administration and Public Health, Senior Management, and Health Sciences.
His career began in the Mexican Army as Health Squad Chief of the 20th Infantry Battalion, escalating until becoming the Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Hospital de Cardiología del CMN SIGLO XXI of the Mexican Institute of Social Health (IMSS), and after that, he supervised the Cardiac Transplant Program from the Transplant Center of The State of Mexico in the city of Toluca.
He has been the professor at several university grade classes and taken part in national and international courses and congresses both as a presenter and attendee. His work as a researcher has been embodied in multiple articles of important medical journals and papers in many states. Amidst the pandemic of COVID-19 he is a leader in the research and treatment of respiratory distresses and consequences caused by this virus.
He currently collaborates at PRMEDICA in addition to being a Researcher in the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Hyperbaric Medicine of the postgraduate and research section of the Escuela Superior de Medicina del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). He also collaborates at the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Medicine department at the Hospital H+ of Los Cabos.
Dr. Victor received his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit. He later earned a Master´s degree in Medical and Surgical Emergencies from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. During this time, he developed a passion for regenerative medicine and decided to further his academic education in this promising and exciting medical area.
After completion of his instructor certification of Hyperbaric Medicine he was granted a research position at UAG in Vacuum-assisted management of chronic non-healing wounds. Dr. Victor is certified by the University of Texas in Regenerative Orthopedics and holds national certifications on Stem Cell Therapies for Chronic Diseases, Injury Management with Cell Therapies, Ozone Therapy and Intradermal PRP and Chemical Peeling.
Currently completing a Postgraduate master's degree in Administration of Health services and Hospitals, he earned his Medical Degree from the Universidad de Guadalajara and completed his social service at the Hospital Civil de Guadalajara in the Internal Medicine and Infectiology and External Consultation area.
He has participated in several medical training courses including a University exchange to hospital Sant'orsola Malpighi in the City of Bologna, Italy. He has given informative talks to many companies’ employees about occupational hazards and disabilities on the work environment.
His work experience in Los Cabos covers consulting in renowned hotels, providing health care to both guests and collaborators following international management guides in the patient's language. Critical and stable cruise ship patient landings, and transfers of critical or stable patients in ambulances.
He currently provides medical care at PRMEDICA in a number of procedures.
Graduated as a Medical Doctor from Universidad de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Dr Carlos Piñuelas later completed a rotary Internship at the O.P.D. Hospital Civil de Guadalajara "Fray Antonio Alcalde" with top average and three Honorable Mentions in General Surgery, Psychiatry and Hematology services, as well as his social service Internship at the O.P.D. Antiguo Hospital Civil de Guadalajara “Fray Antonio Alcalde”.
In 2017 he earned a University Diploma in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine. Complementing with several courses in different subjects during his medical career. He has given numerous presentations, in addition to authoring research papers for scientific journals and publications.
In Cabo, he has collaborated in renowned institutions such as the BlueNet Hospitals, DIF Los Cabos, and the Saint Luke’s Hospitals. In PRMEDICA he operates aesthetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, facial rejuvenation with Stem Cells and Exosomes, hair restoration with Stem Cell and Exosomes, among many others.
Our Head Chemist graduated with Honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa as Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemist. Since then, she has been actively participating in an assortment of events, congresses, and courses to widen her area of studies. For over 4 years, she performed as a teacher in the area of Chemistry I and II, Biology I and II, and Health Sciences for the Highschool of Universidad de Tijuana.
She has been developing her career as a renowned chemist, and along with being the Head of PRMEDICA Labs she collaborates with the prestigious College of Clinical Chemists of Cabo San Lucas as an active member.
Starting the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been studying and taking several courses for training on the current situation and new safety protocols.
Mauricio Iga was trained in Mexico and Spain and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the Universidad del Valle de México & Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain.
After a year of social service in Mexico he returned to Spain to achieve the specialty category degree for Hydrotherapy in the Universidad de Castilla la Mancha with international recognition obtaining also certifications accredited by the Association International Aquatic Therapy Faculty established on Switzerland in 4 water therapy techniques which are water Specific Therapy-Halliwick, aqua t-relax, the Bad Ragaz Ring Method and Clinical Ai Chi.
While in Spain, Mauricio completed an expert degree on biomedical engineering and finally ended up completing a master’s degree for Biomedical Engineering and Sanitary Technology with a Specialty in Technology and Medical Devices from the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia.
His work experience covers an internship at the Hospital Instituto San José in Madrid, Spain, and a residence at the Texas Children Hospital in physical medicine and rehab, as well as the areas of traumatology and orthopedics. He was an international volunteer visitor for internships in clinical engineering projects, and biomedical research at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Florida.
He currently works as an associate physiotherapist and rehabilitation as the head of physical therapy services in PRMEDICA.
With the Degree of Medical Doctor, he specialized in Anesthesiology in the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Dr. Terreros is an active member of the Mexican Association of Anesthesiology in Baja California Sur and he is certified by the Mexican Council of Anesthesiology.
As part of the PRMEDICA team, he oversees our patients not feeling pain or severe discomfort during certain procedures.
Dr. Trevor Hoffman’s interest in Regenerative Medicine began in 1995 while attending the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Hoffman had suffered from a sports injury 9 years prior and had tried multiple therapies without improvement. He volunteered during a demonstration of the technique of Neural Therapy and was so impressed by the results he made Regenerative Medicine the focus of his practice. His interest in Regenerative Medicine includes both orthopedic as well as cosmetic applications.
Dr. Trevor has completed advanced training in Myofascial Trigger Point Injection, Prolotherapy, Mesotherapy, Neural Prolotherapy and Prolozone. He went on to further his studies in Regenerative Medicine by training in Platelet-Rich Plasma in 2007 and Stem Cell Therapy in 2012.
For many years Dr. Trevor has been sought out by his colleagues for mentorship in Regenerative Medicine. For the last 5 years, Dr. Trevor has been lecturing internationally at professional conferences and teaching medical practitioners various techniques of Regenerative Medicine.
He earned his degree as a Medical Doctor from the Universidad de Monterrey. He then specialized in Plastic Surgery at the notorious Universidad Autónoma de México.
He has worked in the Hospital Ángeles del Pedregal in Cosmetic Surgery and Body Contouring. In PRMEDICA, he serves as advisor and practitioner for aesthetic procedures and surgeries.
Dr. María del Carmen obtained her Medical Degree at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, specializing later in Medical Radiodiagnosis and Imaging. She is certified by the Mexican Council of Radiology and Image which is renewed every five years, along with being an active member of the Mexican Association of Radiology.
Her practice is dedicated to timely diagnosis, second opinion diagnostic reviews and preventive medicine protocols. Upon her arrival in October 1991, she was considered the first Radiologist in Los Cabos. She still contributes with many Associations and Congresses related to her area of study.
Her collaborations with PRMEDICA are mostly focused on corroborating the presumptive clinical diagnosis of each patient, confirming the status of the patients prior to their treatment, as well as subsequent follow-up.
Dr Parga oversees PRMEDICA’s neurological-related procedures.
He is a graduate from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara who specialized in Neurological Surgery, while also being an active member of the AO Spine Latin America and the Mexican Association of Cerebral Vascular Disease.
He is also certified by the Mexican Council of Neurosurgery to practice.
PRMEDICA is a fully licensed clinic specializing in Regenerative Medicine and accredited by the Federal Health Authorities in Mexico (COFEPRIS).
